April 25, 2007 - United States Attorney Patrick L. Meehan today announced the filing of a superseding indictment* against Paul King and Charles Hogan, a/k/a "Snap", charging that on or about June 28, 2005, they conspired to distribute and possessed with intent to distribute approximately 89.83 kilograms of cocaine, a Schedule II controlled substance, in violation of Title 21, United States Code, Sections 846 and 841(c)(1).

If convicted defendant King faces a maximum sentence of life imprisonment, a mandatory minimum period of 10 years incarceration, at least 5 years up to lifetime supervised release, a fine of $4,000,000, and a special assessment of $100.
If convicted, defendant Hogan faces a maximum sentence of life imprisonment, a mandatory minimum period of lifetime incarceration, at least 10 years up to a lifetime supervised release, a fine of $8,000,000, and a special assessment of $100.
The case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Federal Bureau of Investigation and has been assigned to Assistant United States Attorney Curtis R. Douglas.
