
February 7, 2007 - United States Attorney Patrick L. Meehan today announced the filing of an Indictment* against Anthony Davila charging him with one count of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 922(g)(1).
This indictment is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods, an initiative by the United States Attorney’s Office, Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco & Firearms and the Philadelphia Police Department, to identify and prosecute firearms offenders in federal court, where the defendants are likely to receive a substantial sentence upon conviction.

If convicted, Davila faces 10 years imprisonment, a $250,000 fine, 3 years supervised release, and a $100 special assessment.
The case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms and has been assigned to Assistant United States Attorney Virgil B. Walker.
