January 11, 2007 - United States Attorney Patrick L. Meehan today announced the filing of an Indictment* against Shaun Peterson charging him with conspiracy to commit armed bank robbery, armed bank robbery and aiding and abetting the use, carry, and brandish of a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence as the result of the armed bank robbery on October 31, 2006 at the Sovereign Bank, 65 York Rd., Willow Grove, Pennsylvania of approximately $11,426 . This case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (“FBI”) and Upper Moreland and Warminster Police Departments. If convicted, defendant faces a maximum of life imprisonment, a mandatory minimum of 7 years imprisonment for the firearm offense consecutive to any other sentence, a substantial fine and restitution.
