States Attorney Patrick L. Meehan today announced the filing of an Information* against James Buscemi, 42, of Boothwyn, charging him with one count of
obtaining controlled substances by fraud, arising from his obtaining
for abuse, rather than for legitimate medical reasons, thousands of doses
of Endocet, Roxicet, and OxyContin tablets and Fentanyl transdermal patches
containing oxycodone, a Schedule II controlled substance, from 2001 through
March 2007.
If convicted, the defendant faces a maximum possible sentence of 4 years in prison,
a $250,000 fine, and a $100 special assessment.
