July 31, 2007 - United States Attorney Patrick L. Meehan today announced the unsealing of a five-count indictment* against Myles Pryor, charging him with distribution of cocaine base (“crack”), and distribution of crack within 1000 feet of a school.
The indictment specifically charges that: on or about November 14, 2006, Pryor distributed approximately 27.1 grams of crack; on or about November 17, 2006, he distributed approximately 27.0 grams of crack; and on or about December 6, 2006, he distributed approximately 26.7 grams of crack. According to the indictment, on November 14, 2006, Pryor distributed the crack cocaine within 1000 feet of Holy Innocents School, located at 1312 East Bristol Avenue, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and, on December 6, 2006, Pryor distributed the crack cocaine within 1000 feet of Marshall John Elementary School, located at 4500 Griscom Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
If convicted, Pryor faces a maximum sentence of 200 years imprisonment, a 5 year mandatory minimum term of imprisonment, at least 8 years supervised release up to lifetime supervised release, and a multi-million dollar fine. This case was investigated by the United States Drug Enforcement Administration (“DEA”) and is part of an joint city and federal effort to identify and prosecute drug dealers operating in the Frankford section of Philadelphia.
