
June 20, 2007 - United States Attorney Patrick L. Meehan announced today the filing of a 5-count Indictment* charging Kenneth Evans with willfully filing federal income tax returns that were materially false and with attempting to evade the assessment of taxes. If convicted of the charges in the indictment, Evans faces a maximum of 19 years in prison, a fine of $500,000 fine, a special assessment of $500 and 3 years of supervised release. This case was investigated by the Internal Revenue Service.
