
June 22, 2007 - United States Attorney Patrick L. Meehan today announced the filing of a one-count indictment* charging CONRAD GEORGE MARAGH, a Jamaican national also known as “Alvin Bandoo,” with unlawful re-entry into the United States after deportation, in violation of Title 8, United States Code, Section 1326 and falsely representing to be a U.S. citizen, in violation of Title 18, U.S.C. Section 911. The two-count indictment alleges that on June 6, 2007, MARAGH was found in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania after having been previously deported from the United States in 2001.
This indictment arose out of an investigation conducted by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Defendant MARAGH faces a maximum sentence of 13 years imprisonment, four years supervised release, a $500,000 fine and a $100 special assessment.
