United States Attorney's Office News Release

 

March 15, 2007 - United States Attorney Patrick L. Meehan today announced that a one count indictment* was filed charging ARTHUR WILLIAM HECKMAN with knowingly transporting materials involving the sexual exploitation of minors.

The indictment alleges that on October 8, 2003, defendant ARTHUR WILLIAM HECKMAN used a computer to send 18 visual images showing minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct.

If convicted, the defendant faces a possible maximum sentence of 40 years
imprisonment with a mandatory minimum 15 years imprisonment, a $250,000 fine, and 5 years supervised release.

The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (Allentown Office). The case has been assigned to Assistant United States Attorney Seth Weber.
