L. Meehan, United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania,
today announced the filing of an indictment* charging Tarel Brown
with conspiracy to distribute one kilogram or more of phencyclidine (“PCP”).
The indictment results from an investigation by the United States Postal
Inspectors, with the assistance of the Federal Bureau of Investigation
(FBI). The information also seeks criminal forfeiture of drug proceeds
and facilitating property.
If convicted of the offense charged, the defendant face the following
maximum
penalties: life imprisonment, a mandatory minimum term of 20 years
imprisonment, lifetime supervised release, at least 10 years supervised release,
a fine of $8,000,000 and a special assessment of $100.
This case was the result of an investigation by the United States Postal Inspection Service and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
