May 11, 2007 - United States Attorney Patrick L. Meehan today announced the filing of an Indictment* against Serafin Garcia-Morales, an alien and subject of the Dominican Republic, who illegally entered the United States.

If convicted the defendant faces a maximum possible sentence of six months prisonment, a $5,000 fine, one year supervised release, and a $50 special assessment.
The case was investigated by the United States Department of Justice, Drug Enforcement Administration, and the Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and has been assigned to Assistant United States Attorneys Anita Eve and Melanie E. Babb.
