FORT WORTH BANK ROBBER SENTENCED A man who committed three bank robberies in Fort Worth, Texas, in February of this year, was sentenced today in federal court in Fort Worth, announced United States Attorney Richard B. Roper. The Honorable John McBryde, United States District Judge, sentenced Tom Curtis Johnson, III, to 70 months imprisonment, without parole. Johnson, age 23, who pled guilty in April, has been in federal custody since his arrest on February 28, 2006. Johnson committed the following bank robberies: • February 8, 2006 Bank of America • February 9, 2006 Summit Bank • February 28, 2006 Bank of America U.S. Attorney Roper praised the investigative efforts of the FBI Violent Crime Fugitive Task Force. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Alan M. Buie. ###
