BANK ROBBER SENTENCED TO MORE THAN SEVEN YEARS, Defendant Robbed Same Bank Twice Within One Week FORT WORTH, Texas — Carroll Andrew Young, of Fort Worth, was sentenced today to 87 months (more than seven years) in prison by U.S. District Judge John McBryde, announced U.S. Attorney Richard B. Roper, of the Northern District of Texas. Young, 39, admitted robbing the Wachovia Bank, at 5320 North Beach Street, in Haltom City, Texas, on both April 30, 2007, and on May 7, 2007. On both occasions, he approached the same teller and presented her a note that said, “No dye packs,” “No funny business,” “This is not a joke,” and “Give me all your money in your drawer.” U.S. Attorney Roper praised the investigative efforts of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Fort Worth Police Department. The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Alan Buie.
