DALLAS MAN ARRESTED IN YESTERDAY’S GUARANTY BANK ROBBERY The affidavit filed with the complaint states that at approximately 4:35 p.m. yesterday afternoon, two robbers entered the bank. One robber held a gun on a teller while the other one jumped over the teller station’s counter and said, “Give me all the money!” He then reached into the drawer and began taking the money out of the top drawer. He then asked the teller where the rest of the money was. The teller stated that was all there was. The robber stated “No it’s not. Where’s the other drawer?” The robber then opened the second drawer and took that money too. The robber jumped back over the counter and the robber holding the gun ordered everyone to the floor. Both robbers then fled the bank with the money. Malik Idis Houston was found, along with all of the stolen money, at an apartment on West Ledbetter in Dallas. Houston admitted that he was the one who jumped over the counter and took the money at the Guaranty Bank robbery. Houston’s accomplices remain at large. U.S. Attorney Roper praised the investigative efforts of the FBI and the Dallas Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney Brandon McCarthy is prosecuting the case.
