FEDERAL INDICTMENT CHARGES LUBBOCK, TEXAS, MAN Wilcox was arrested in Oklahoma on October 28 on state kidnapping charges filed by the Lubbock County District Attorney’s Office. Wilcox is currently in custody in Lubbock on the state charges. An indictment is an accusation by a federal grand jury and a defendant is entitled to the presumption of innocence unless proven guilty. However, if convicted on all counts of the indictment, Wilcox faces a maximum statutory sentence of life in prison and a $750,000 fine. U.S. Attorney Roper commended the investigative efforts of the FBI, the Lubbock Police Department, and the McCurtain County, Oklahoma, Police Department. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Steven M. Sucsy of the Lubbock, Texas, U.S. Attorney’s Office. ###
