DALLAS MAN SENTENCED FOR ROBBING DESOTO, TEXAS, BANK
According to documents filed with the Court and other investigative materials, Ivory admitted entering the bank with the specific intent to rob it and displayed a toy gun that he had recently purchased. He approached the teller and stated, “You have one second to put all the money in the bag”; I am going to blow you in the stomach”; and “I am going to blow your head off.” He also presented a demand note for money on the back of one his car payment receipts, which he left in the bank after getting the money and fleeing. He was arrested a short time later and eventually led law enforcement to the backyard of a home where he had hidden the money and to the location where he threw the toy gun. The case was investigated by the FBI and the DeSoto Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney John Kull prosecuted the case. ### |
