BANK ROBBERS SENTENCED According to documents filed in the case, at approximately 4:20 a.m., on Wednesday, April 14, 2010, Ewing and others broke into the Ironstone Bank located at 9667 N. Central Expressway, in Dallas. They disabled the alarm system and the surveillance equipment. They proceeded to saw open the vault and took the money that was inside it. Ewing and one of the suspects, known as “Red,” left the bank in the getaway vehicle driven by Hogg. Officers with the Dallas Police Department located them at a gas station, but Ewing and “Red” fled. Officers chased Ewing and found him hiding in the backyard of a nearby residence. Officers arrested Ewing and Hogg, but “Red” wasn’t apprehended. U.S. currency was found in and around Hogg’s vehicle. The case was investigated by the Dallas Police Department and the FBI. Assistant U.S. Attorney Phelesa Guy prosecuted. ### |
