GARLAND, TEXAS, MAN SENTENCED TO EIGHT YEARS IN FEDERAL PRISON, DALLAS— Joe Henry Lott, 61 of Garland, Texas, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge David C. Godbey to 96 months (eight years), following his guilty plea in June 2009 to one count of receiving child pornography, announced U.S. Attorney James T. Jacks of the Northern District of Texas. Judge Godbey also ordered that Lott serve a lifetime of supervised release following his imprisonment. According to documents filed, Lott admitted that from January 1, 2009, until December 19, 2009, when FBI agents seized his personal computer and related storage media, he downloaded more than 600 still and video images of child pornography from the Internet onto his home computer, using Limewire peer-to-peer software. He also admitted that he knew some of the images he possessed depicted prepubescent minors or children under the age of 12 years and that some of the images/videos contained images of sadistic or masochistic conduct, or other depictions of violence. ### |
