Three Citizens of Mexico Enter Guilty Pleas
to Illegally Re-Entering the United States

MARTINSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — Three citizens of Mexico entered guilty pleas on January 20, 2011, in United States District Court in Martinsburg before Magistrate Judge David J. Joel.

United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that:

ISIDRO CANO-ARREGUIN, age 39, entered a plea of guilty to one count of an Indictment charging him with illegally re-entering the United States and being found in Berkeley County, West Virginia, on September 20, 2010, after being removed from the United States three prior times. CANO-ARREGUIN, who is currently in custody pending sentencing, faces a maximum penalty of two years imprisonment and a fine of $250,000.

ISIDRO FLORES CASTILLO, age 45, entered a plea of guilty to one count of an Indictment charging him with illegally re-entering the United States after being removed from the United States two prior times. CASTILLO, who is currently in custody pending sentencing, faces a maximum penalty of 10 years imprisonment and a fine of $250,000.

VICTOR SOTO ESTRADA, age 22, entered a plea of guilty to one count of an Indictment charging him with illegally re-entering the United States and being found in Berkeley County, West Virginia, on August 30, 2010, after being previously removed from the United States. ESTRADA, who is currently in custody pending sentencing, faces a maximum penalty of two years imprisonment and a fine of $250,000.

The cases were prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Erin K. Reisenweber and were investigated by the Department of Homeland Security – Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
