Today, Monday, November 26th, 2001 is the last day for public comment
regarding the Justice Department's September 11th Victim Compensation Fund.
Fundamentalist Christian groups have been lobbying hard to EXCLUDE gay and
lesbian partners from receiving compensation from this fund if they lost a
partner on September 11th.
If I were killed on September 11th and you believe my surviving
partner should be entitled to the same benefits as heterosexual couples,
please email Attorney General John Ashcroft TODAY and tell him to include
the unmarried partners of September 11th victims as eligible recipients of
the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund. Sample text below:
