Reponse to grief
I write to you today to encourage the Department of Justice to include among relatives eligible for compensation for the tragedies of September 11 those who lost their life partners or de facto parents or children, regardless of sexual orientation or marital status.
Discrimination, especially in this time of national tragedy, should not dictate response to grief.
