September 11 Victim Compensation Fund
To: Kenneth L. Zwick, Director
Office of Management Programs, Civil Division
U.S. Department of Justice
Dear Sir:
The people who died on September 11 all died equally, male and female, young
and old, gay and straight. The killers didn't discriminate and neither
should We, The People, discriminate in denying benefits and compensation to
the survivors of these victims. A same-gender partner is still a partner. A
child of a homosexual is still a child. Their grief is no less than the
grief of survivors of other classes of victims, their problems are no
smaller, the obstacles they will have to overcome are no easier.
Please--don't compound the crimes of the suicide bombers by treating any of
their victims as less than worthy than others.
