public comment re 9-11 Victim Compensation Fund

Dear Mr. Zwick,
We are writing to you to you in response to the request of the DOJ asking for public comments regarding the forth-coming regulations for implementing and administering the 9-11 Victim Compensation Fund. It is our hope that the DOJ will draft regulations that ensure compensation is available to ALL victims of this terroristic attack. This should include the committed partners and the non- biological children of victims who are gay or lesbian.

The grief and financial losses suffered by the families of gay/ lesbian victims are no different that that of other families.

Many Americans died on 9-11 and they all left behind their loved ones. Families of gay/lesbian victims should be treated the same as others. We urge you to do the right thing, the American thing. Gays/lesbians have made so many contributions to our country, including military and government service, and have been strong advocates for civil rights for all minorities. Let us promote and legislate "liberty and justice for ALL."

Sincerely,

Individual Comment
