Question
After reviewing the website and some of the comments, my question pertains
to the information paper provided our CAOs on victim compensation. If I
understand it correctly, there would be some determination made of
appropriate compensation after a review of any monetary benefits that have
already been provided, to include insurance, and it isn't clear if this is
private or government provided insurance. Why would the government
entertain plans to limit or reduce compensation to anyone based on what any
family has done to prepare for a death of a family member?
