Victems' Compensation

I think the award should be to the surviving dependents', at the time of their benefactor's untimely death--- what that benefactor's lifelong contributions in earnings (based on income/savings, etc.) at death, projected into the future, had they lived out their full actuarial lives, would have earned, and who their heirs were. Millions of people in this country have their lives cut short through the illegal or, wars, or otherwise misdeeds of others, or circumstance, and get compensated through Worker's Comp, life insurance and private insurance..

While this was a really devastating event, we have to keep in mind, other victims of tragedy, through wars, (WW I, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Somalia, Desert Storm, etc.).

If we can just get all the charitable organizations to distribute (distribute being the operative word here) equitably, all the funds Americans poured out, the families should get enough to live grandly from this day forward.

Whatever is left over should go to the aforementioned groups that got very little in the way of compensation for losses suffered.

By the way, did our Government ever get those Marine bodies back from Somalia that were dragged, LIVE, behind Jeeps until they died? I still have nightmares about that, and I didn't know any of those Marines--just think about my son and daughter in the Army. Hope I can get their bodies back, if it comes to it.

God Bless America
