victim compensation
I am in favor of restricting the monies given to
victims of the September 11th tragedy based on funds
they receive from elsewhere. In a city like New York,
how can we justify over compensating peoples while at
the expense of victims of other "daily" tragedies...
hunger, homelessness, disease, etc.? Our city needs
resources to rebuild, jobs to be created and funds
dispersed throughout the needy population. To pay out
excessive funds to the victims of 9/11 would not be
equitable to all the people of New York who need assistance.
