Charitable contributions to victims funds
I strongly object to Congress reducing award amounts less the charitable
contributions received. The victims of the 9/11 disasters are the remaining
families left behind.
How can our government even contemplate making these victims suffer even
more grief at a time like this.
I for one did not contribute to those funds with the anticipation that the
US government would seek to use those contributions as a resource.
Those of us that gave, did so out of an act of humanity to our brothers and
sisters.
Please do not make a mockery of that by making these victims suffer more by
having to beg for what is rightfully theirs.
We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence then, is not an act, but a habit.
