Avoid double dipping
Gentlemen,
The tragedy of 9-11 has affected us all. As a nation, I'm sure all Americans
wish to help our fellow citizens in need.
However, the US govt should be expected only to supplement insurance
companies and charities assisting the families of victims, not to replace
them.
Please avoid entrapping US taxpayers with another entitlement, regardless of
cause.
Furthermore, differentiating between compensating civilians and not our
military personnel, for acts of terror or war, may appear duplicitous.
Sincerely,
