VICTIMS FUND

I do not think the govt.should be doing this when the public has already given so much to the different charities. Those who died on the job will have Workman's Comp coming in the picture and Social Security survivor benefits for surviving children and widows. In other words, there are already programs in effect to take care of these families. No such govt. program came into existence when the Oklahoma City Federal Bldg was bombed so I am unclear as to why it is felt that there should now be a program for this tragedy. With the govt programs already in place and with the extra over one billion sent in to the different charities, I do not see why another program should come into the picture. If it is present, then definitely the other program monies given out should be considered before anymore government money is paid. Taxpayers have paid enough into the different govt. funds and again in their charitable contributions. Thank you for giving the public the right to respond.
