Victim's Fund Operation Suggestions
To Whom it may concern:
The fund should give everyone the same amount of money, as no life lost
was more or less valuable in the eyes of the government. Private sector
charities are free to give money as they chose, and this must not be
infringed upon by the government. If the fund docks money from a
victim's family who has received private sector aid, the government is
in effect negating these charitable donations, instead of those given
involuntarily (by taxes).
No life lost was more or less valuable in the eyes of the American
public, either, and therefore equity in distribution of charity should
be achieved as well. Political leaders should implore the organizers of
charity funds to distribute the money donated evenly, as a means to this
end. We are not socialist, and therefore should not force equal
distribution of money.
Very Respectfully,
