The RIGHT thing to do
Dear Attorney General Ashcroft,
The horrible occurrences of September 11th, and the resulting deaths of more
than 5000 Americans, were the result of a maniacal attack on America.
Most, if not all, segments of the United States of America -- male, female;
black, white, brown, red; gay, straight; white-collar, blue-collar; child,
teenager, adult, senior; mentally and physically handicapped ... a true
cross-section of our society -- were affected by this tragedy.
Our strength as a country is in our unity: "United We Stand!". Please don't
perpetuate this horror by allowing discrimination against any segment of
this group that has already suffered so much. Specifically, please don't
discriminate against the unmarried partners of September 11th victims. They,
along with all the other victims' families, have suffered enough.
Thank you.
