Dear Kenneth Zwick, Director,
Office of Management Programs, Civil Division,

I urge you to ensure that compensation is available to ALL surviving families of those killed in the September 11th disaster. I understand that a callus, minority of people are trying to deny compensation to surviving gay and lesbian family members and their children. Many loved ones were lost; many families were devastated, and our support for all survivors related by blood kinship and by created, committed kinship is critical for our nation as we recover from this tragedy. I hope you and the Justice Department see the gross injustice of the above homophobic sentiment and work to counter this anti- American sentiment by compensating all surviving family members regardless of race, sex, religion, and partnership. Discriminatory practices and politics have no place in our land of civil rights and equality.

How can one life be worth more than another life?
Compensate all surviving family members, including the committed partners and non- biological children of gay and lesbian victims.

Thank you,
