Consideration of Cost of Living Adjustments
To whom it may concern,
Please consider adding cost of living increases into the assumed wages for
the deceased victims up through the time they would have reached there
retirement age.
It is quite reasonable to assume that a person making $100,000 per year in
2001 would be making, at least, the inflation adjusted equivalent of that
amount, for example, 20 years hence, when that person might have retired.
Of course, this amount , including inflation adjusted increases, would be
calculated before being discounted down to a present value figure.
Thank you very much for your consideration.
