Compensations for 9/11 Victims
Sir,
It is unconscienable and beyond belief that your office and its regulations
would deny compensation to longtime companions of loving gay and/or lesbian
individuals otherwise deserving who perished on 9/11. They should be treated
with the same consideration, respect, and compensation as anyone else. In
fact, it is simply not acceptable, and I will surely vote my conscience in
this matter in every election possible. Further, I will speak out against
you -- and any administration which supports such unthinkable and grossly
unfair behavior. If you act from love and real human concerns rather than
from fear of fundamentalist religious and political bigots, you will provide
compensation where it is surely due.
Further, I am urging all my friends and colleagues with extensive mailing
lists to let you know of their feelings on this important matter.
Sincerely,
Individual Comment
