Imperative to be equally compassionate
To whom it may concern:
It is imperative to acknowledge the loss and tragedy suffered by all of the
victims of September 11, 2001. That means the families as identified by the
ones who survived the devastation of losing a domestic partner; whether that
partner be the same or other gender, be equally compensated. While the
federal government has yet to recognize domestic partners, state
jurisdictions as well as hundreds of city municipalities have done so. I
encourage the federal government to equally compensate those significant
others of gay, lesbian, and heterosexual domestic partnerships as evidenced
by shared households, expenses, and joint responsibilities. I have complete
confidence that the individuals making these important financial decisions
will be just and fair minded.
Sincerely,
