Equal treatment for gay/lesbian loved ones
How un-American to treat the surviving loved ones of gays and lesbians as
second class citizens. This is a time when Americans and America must come
together despite different religions, cultures, sexual orientations or any of
the other infinite differences that separate us. This is a country where we
are allowed to have differences and can agree to disagree on many issues, but
at the end of the day we are Americans who also share a lot in common. How
gays and lesbians are treated in this situation will reverberate for many
years to come, lets look back on this as a time of fairness and decency.
Thank you.
