Subject: Compensation Recipients
I've just learned of Kenneth Feinberg's statements on "Meet the Press" on
March 10th. It is truly amazing to what length our federal government and
federally sponsored programs will go to help people when a crisis occurs. It
is equally appalling what lengths will be attempted to deny benefits to gay
Americans even while we compensate illegal aliens (people who are breaking
the law by even being in this country). The fact that criminals are being
compensated while patriotic American citizens are over looked because they
don't fall into the "Republican Right-wing" religious idea goes against
everything this country is "suppose" to stand for.
It has obviously been forgotten somewhere along the way that this
country is not a bastion for the fundamentalist Christian "lifestyle".
Germany forgot once too. I wonder where we will wind up next? When will the
fanatics of THIS country start to kill in the name of their religion like
those in Afghanistan?
