In this time of national crisis and tragedy, it saddens me to realize that
once again the truths upon which our nation is founded that "all persons
are created equal" still does not apply to all persons. All persons,
illegal aliens et al, are welcomed to receive compensation but not gay and
lesbian surviving partners of the 9-11 tragedy. It is amazing that an event
that brought us
together as one nation can so quickly be dismissed.
I hope and pray that you will rethink your distribution policy so that all
Americans
are treated equally. Doesn't the sacrifice of and the countless
other gay and lesbian vicitms of this tragedy count for anything?
