I am angered that the Congress of the United States and the Department of Justice,
through the person of Kenneth Fienberg has stated that it values illegal immigrants in
violation of Federal law more than it does American Citizens. To give monies to peoples
who are not even citizens of this country and to deny money to citizens just because they
are gay or their family member who died was gay, is blatant persecution.
Mr. Fienberg stated that state laws would be the deciding force. When did states gain the
power to supercede the laws of the country as a whole? If it is a federal offense to be in
this country without the proper authority and documentation, how can it be legal in one
state?
