Dear Mr. Feinberg:
I am writing to express my outrage at your decision to discriminate against
the gay heroes of the 911 tragedy. WIth your decision to pay benefits to
even illegal aliens it is clear that any decision you wanted to reach you
had the power to do so. To refuse to give benefits to the partners of
gay/lesbian victims and indeed heroes, you are either acting out of your
own homophobia, regardless of the excuses you have given, or you are a
coward who is unwilling to face any negative criticism. You are a disgrace
to the honor of the people who died that day and an embarrassment to the
values upon which this country was founded...so much for freedom. When all
of us are treated equally in this country then and only then will I be able
to proudly display the American Flag.
