fair treatment for surviving partners of LGB victims

Dear madam or sir:

I am writing to encourage your department in the strongest possible terms to REQUIRE FAIR AND EQUAL TREATMENT FOR THE SURVIVING PARTNERS OF LESBIAN, GAY, AND BISEXUAL VICTIMS OF THE 9/11 TRAGEDY.

How can the Department of Justice call itself by that name if the victim compensation rules promote injustice by discriminating on the basis of sexual orientation. Is the grief of these surviving partners any less than that of heterosexual spouses?

Please do all you can to ensure that the policies require fair and equal treatment for ALL surviving partners.

Thank you, Individual Comment
