Please respond
I am writing to ask WHY... & HOW.... could you be so closed minded as to
ignore the partners of Gay's who were killed saving possibly YOUR life on
911? You are willing to offer compensation to those partners of illegal
aliens that were killed who are heterosexual, and ignore those who are gay
partners of Americans. Are you discounting the support that gay's offer to
their partners? Are you discounting the fact that these gay persons put
their lives on the line to save YOUR life? And, in doing so, put the lives
and hearts of their partners into mourning? Ones sexuality does not negate
the sacrifice to ones country. Ones sexuality does not negate the pain felt
when your loved one is killed in the act well past the line of American Duty.
The message you are putting out to the people of your country and to the
world is that SOME Americans are expendable, and some are not. Some people
have human rights and some do not. If we look back over history, there was
another leader who felt this way about his country men. That leader was
Hitler. Do you really want to be on the same history pages as Hitler?
It amazes me, the lengths some people will go to in order to squelch
another's human rights. It is this type of behavior {discriminating against
gay partners of those killed on 911} that makes me and countless others
ashamed to be called American. Trust me... we will all be voting, and our
numbers are large.
I look forward to your response.
