compensation for brave heroic Americans
Dear Sir and Mr. President,
I am outraged that my country is choosing to discriminate against certain
citizens and in some cases even over those same citizens! Illegal aliens are
eligible for compensation from the 9/11 attacks and it would seem just about
everyone else, everyone EXCEPT for Gays and Lesbians that is.
If you follow through with your plan of compensation the way it is then the
terrorists have already won. What a shameful day when we discriminate
against our own citizens some of whom gave their lives ( for
example) to protect other citizens, just ask Senator McCain.
Mr. Feinberg, as a Jewish, Gay, American I find your logic reprehensible and
embarrassing to us all. Even the Holocaust Museum in Washington D.C. saw fit
to honor the Gays and Lesbians of WWII who perished along side our brethren.
If you can't find it in your heart to compensate these grieving families
(yes, even we have families) of brave Americans perhaps you should step down
and let someone who can, take over.
President Bush, we all know how you feel about us (Gay Americans) but in the
spirit of decency and fairness I urge you to intervene and right this
horrible wrong. That plane that and others brought down could have had
your name on it. But for the bravery of ALL Americans an even greater
catastrophe was averted.
Please do what you know is right, fair and ultimately very American, give all
victims their rightful due.
Yours truly,
