9-11 Support for Gays & Lesbians
I believe that any domestic partner of the gay/lesbian heroes of 9-11 should receive the same support as do widows/widowers and children, and should be placed ahead of any illegal aliens. Just as the widows/widowers and children must 'prove' who they are, it would be no different to 'prove' you are the partner of a gay or lesbian person.
State law should not be an issue here -- just as compensation to illegal aliens has not be declared a State issue.
Come on, we are a country by the people and for the people, so don't be against a chosen few.
