protest treatment of gays/lesbians

At a time of healing and a time of broad support for all victims of the atrocious attacks on 9/11...it is inconceivable to me that you would not extend your support to the partners of gays and lesbians that lost their lives in the twin towers and pentagon and aboard the planes. To discriminate nationally against such persons because their particular state might not yet recognize their relationships while at the same time recognizing illegal aliens is so counterproductive to be unbelieveable. I urge you to reconsider. I do not think that you will get an overwhelming response from members of the gay and lesbian community. But that should not stop you from soliciting them as equal in suffering before the law. Shame on you for ignoring these people.
