Benefits for Gays/Lesbians
I want to formally voice my concern that the families/life partners of gays
and lesbians who were killed in the 9/11 attack are being excluded from
financial support from the fund.
The families of everyone who lost their life on that tragic day should be
entitled to support. How incredible that we can take a tragedy that brought
our country together and then use it to further divide it.
I hope that the decision will be made to honor all of those who gave their
lives and that the decision will not be based on sexual preference.
When I go to the polls in November this particular issue will be very
important to me in my decision making.
