Discrimination of Victims of September 11.
Dear Sir/ Madam
As an Australian who has contributed to this fund in solidarity with the grief and distress experienced by all with regard to the events of September 11th, I am absolutely appalled to read the information passed to me below.
It would appear to me to be a barbaric act of discrimination, unforgivable and unjustifiable.
I implore that you reconsider this stance and recognise the heroism in equal terms to all beneficiaries of the fund. This creates a very bad impression of the American people and reflects badly on the fund - and this attitude will be taken in to account when future support is asked for by the American people, support that to date has been unconditional. It smacks of the kind of discrimination that was endemic in Afghanistan under the Taliban and the way they treated women.
Yours sincerely,
