9/11 decision
To whom it may concern,
I just read that illegal aliens will be compensated and not removed from
this country by the governing board of the 911 fund. However that partners
of gay citizens who died in the attack will get nothing if the state they
reside in does not recognize same sex unions.
So let me get this straight, someone who is allowed to be married and broke
the law to be in this country will be compensated. But a natural born
citizen can get nothing. Please explain the logic in that. It seems more
an excuse to discriminate than to actually help those in need. Considering
there were many politicians who were in support of helping everyone. This
appears to be another "middle ground" decisions the Bush administration is
so famous for. Although my family was not physically affected by the
tragedy, thousands of other who were should know of this decision. I'm sure
they would be appalled, just as I am.
Sincerely,
