To whom it may concern:
I'm appalled to hear that the government is once again ignoring the rights of its gay and lesbian citizens. Please take a moment and reconsider your proposed unequal treatment of gay and lesbian people who lost loved ones on Sept. 11. Using state laws to support your decision to discriminate against gays and lesbians reveals an underlying cowardice and hypocrisy. Please reconsider!
