Give benefits to all family members of 9/11 victims
To Whom It May Concern,
When will the selective discrimination end? At one point you say you will
overlook the law and not deport illegal aliens which I totally agree with,
but then you turn around and say the law prevents you from delivering
benefits to life partners of gay and lesbian victims because they are not
married - yet your laws prevent them from being married. You cannot have it
both ways. Either let us get married, or give us our rights to the benefits
we earn as tax paying citizens, even our survivor benefits as life partners
of the victims of 9/11. Either stand by all the laws, or overlook the laws
to treat everyone fairly and equitably. To do otherwise is to exacerbate
the losses of gay and lesbian partners unduly and unjustly.
Sincerely,
