September 11 Victim Compensation Fund that discrimination is
un-A merican
I just wanted to express my dissatisfaction on the recent news on how
same-sex partners that had a loved one die on 9/11 will not be compensated?
How is this just? If
who helped bring down the flight in
Pennsylvania did nothing who knows what building that plane was suppose to
hit. Or NY Fire Dept.
who died in the line of
duty when the first tower fell, you saying that his life meant nothing? How
can you sit there and justify giving illegal aliens who are in the US in
violation of federal law the same benefits, but deprive same-sex partners
who are legal, tax paying Americans the same benefits? You'll "If your
state law makes you eligible, I will honor state law" but ignore federal law
regarding illegal aliens? Doesn't that make you a bigot?
"If September 11 has taught us anything, it's that our patriotism and love
of country transcend our differences and unite us all. It would be ironic if
the generosity of so many Americans in giving to the September 11th Fund
were used to further divide us as a people, and send the message to all that
some American heroes are more equal than others."
This is a sad day indeed for ALL AMERICANS!
